Brown, the company first served area residents by providing gas station service as well as municipal plowing. In the 1960s the Log Cabin Road facility in Kennebunkport was built, adding aggregate supply, blasting and crushing operations to the mix. Stuart Giles purchased R.H. Brown in 1985 and continued the commitment to service the company was known for. In early 2008 R.H. Brown became a part of the Hissong Group, a consortium of companies equally devoted to excellence in its service to customers and the community.
